About Us

Michael and Sheila Zarle

  • Mike was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, but raised in Miami, Florida
  • Sheila was born on the beautiful island of Maui Hawaii.
  • Mike and Sheila graduated from Southeastern University area of Ministry and Education. Michael and Sheila graduated with a Masters degree in “Marketplace Chaplaincy” at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
  • Served on a Pastoral Staff or as a Lead Pastor in Florida, NYC, South Dakota, Hawaii, Florida, including Victory Church Lakeland, FL and Metro Ministries in Brooklyn, NY.
  • Served as the Board Chairperson for two Christian Schools.
  • Served as Youth Pastor of 500 youth in the Ghetto of Brooklyn, NY at Metro Ministries with Pastor Bill Wilson, later as the Executive Director of  The Freedom Center, which services the inner city (at-risk youth and their families) Paul A. Diggs community of Lakeland, FL.
  • Mr. Zarle was active with the New York City Police Department 83rd precinct (Bushwick / Bedford Stuyvesant area) of Brooklyn, NY.
  • Later he helped establish and volunteered as a Police Chaplain for the Rapid City, South Dakota PD; then as a Chaplain for the Maui County Police and Fire Department and the Lakeland, Florida Police and Fire Departments.
  • Michael and Sheila serve as Assemblies of God US Missionaries, Establishing Emergency Services Chaplains, and the Founder/President of Chaplaincy USA.
  • As a volunteer Chaplain, Michael received police training in areas such as School Violence, FBI hostage negotiation, SRO Disaster Response Training, Critical Incident Stress Management, etc.
  • He is a senior member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains and presently serves as the (US SE) Region 8 Treasurer.
  • Michael and Sheila are active members with the American Red Cross serving in emergency operations.
  • Before moving from Hawaii to Lakeland, Florida, Chaplain Michael Zarle served as the Chairperson of VOAD (Volunteer Organization Active in Disaster) on the island of Molokai. Working very close with the American Red Cross, he led the community through four disasters.
  • Mike is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland XXV and a member of Polk County Community Relations Action Council.
  • Sheila is an active First Grade Teacher with Polk County School and has been a leader and a women’s and children’s conference / camp speaker.
  • Sheila served as the Senior Pastor of a church in Lake Alfred, Florida.
  • Mike is presently the Battalion 4 Chaplain for Polk County Fire Rescue and serves on the Polk County, FL Critical Incident Stress Management Team.
